One of her favorite things lately has been pretending to play doctor. The contents of several play doctor kits are thrown together in a bin, along with a few goodies from Busia who is a nurse. She recently discovered an enormous package of large white tissue paper that we had gotten from Pepere that he had from his woodworking days. The tissue paper is used on the "doctor table." You know...the crinkly paper they make you sit on when you sit on the exam table. If you are her patient she makes you sit on the couch or the chair and she will leave the room, only to return a few seconds later calling your name - "Bill! Bill! Your turn!" Yup...she makes us wait - just like the real doctor's office! She pulls out tongue depressors, the thermometer, even a shot! And the questions she asks! "Do you have a cough?" "Do you have a fever?" "Did you poop today?" "Are you sniffley?"
The other night she was trying to convince Bill and I that we actually needed to buy a real exam table for the house and an EKG machine (she had her cardiology appointment earlier that day). Um....yeah....I don't think so. Keep using that great imagination honey.
