Emma had her yearly appointment on Wednesday with the pediatric cardiologist because of her muscular ventricular septal defect. The appointment went great. We saw a new doctor due to the fact that her old one left the children's hospital, but I was happy with her and Em really liked her. Emma's EKG and echocardiogram looked great. The hole still has not closed, but the cardiologist said that at this point it most likely won't close. However, it is so small and not causing any health concerns whatsoever, that she does not see any reason to go in and fix it or see any reason as to why Emma needs to continue being under the ped. cardiologists care! Yeah!!
We have been released from the cardiologist unless something drastic changes as she continues to grow.
