We are trying to get back into the swing of things this week. Back into the routine of getting up for school, work, gymnastics, ballet, etc. I'll admit it, it's been hard. We were lucky enough to spend our holiday break being lazy, staying up late, sleeping in. Our schedules were...well we had no schedules. Emma napped when she wanted to, ate when she wanted to, went to bed when she wanted to, woke up when she wanted to. It worked well for the 10 days that we had off. In hind sight, not a good system. Although, now that I sit here and think about it...it isn't Emma so much that is having trouble getting back into our regular routine. It is mommy and daddy. We are the ones hitting the snooze button in the morning, making the coffee while still half asleep, running out the door always a few minutes late, and then returning home at the end of the day and standing in front of the refrigerator wondering what in the world we are going to have for dinner.
So...slowly we are getting back in the swing of things. S-L-O-W-L-Y.
