Twinkle Toes

We have created a monster. Since we got home yesterday with Emma's new ballet shoes, she has wanted to wear them non-stop. And she can't just wear the shoes - she has to put the whole entire get-up on. That includes tights, leotard, shoes, and skirt. And then she needs music playing in the background - even if she isn't dancing, the music needs to be on. Are you kidding me? It is going to be a long 2 weeks until her first class. The good thing is that she is able to put it all on by herself, so at least she doesn't need our help to do it.

This morning as soon as she finished breakfast she said she wanted to put her new shoes on. Silly me thought she meant her new sandals with the butterflies on them. Nope - she comes out of her room with her ballet ensemble on. The best part was that she had a hair elastic in her hand and demanded - yes demanded - that I put her hair in a ponytail. Then the camera was requested and she looked so darn cute, I couldn't resist. The best part of her photo shoot was that she did all the poses herself. She certainly knows what a ballerina is supposed to look like and she was working it!
