Early this morning, the 211th Military Police Battalion out of Lexington, MA departed from Fort Bliss, TX where they had been training since the middle of July. Their destination? Iraq - again. This group of soldiers were one of the very first called in immediately after September 11th and they will be one of the last to leave Iraq next year if Obama stays true to his word about pulling all the troops out in 2010.
A friend of mine who has 2 young children who take gymnastics at the gym with me is a soldier in the 211th MP battalion. He has left his amazing wife, gorgeous daughter A, and handsome son J back here in MA to serve his country on the streets of Iraq. Please send some thoughts and prayers for his safe and speedy return.
