Our State Fair....

is a great state fair
Don't miss it, don't even be late!
~State Fair the musical

Ok...so the Bolton Fair isn't a state fair, but it was still a fair and it was still pretty great. We headed out to the fair on Friday afternoon in time to stuff our faces with fried dough, corn dogs, homemade lemonade, kettle corn, and some of the best BBQ ribs we have ever had. We saw a pretty neat high wire act by the Flying Wallenda family and a lumberjack show. And we got to see Dale Earnhardt Jr's racing car. But I think our favorite was the animals, more specifically the horses and ponies. Although Emma has been on a lot of pony rides, this was the first time she had been up close to a regular horse. She walked right up and started talked to him and petting him! We stayed with the horses longer than we did any other thing at the fair. Our night ended with some pretty great fireworks.

Saying hi to Dash (we had a hard time saying "bye")
