Peace Quilt Part III

The Peace Quilt in Emma's classroom is making wonderful progress. Millie, the old old quilter (as Emma calls her), has been in the classroom on several occasions now to work with the kids on picking out their squares and pieces and the sewing process is coming along beautifully. I have been able to get a few sneak peeks at the quilt from pictures on Jennie's camera and it looks absolutely amazing. I can't wait to see it in person. According to Emma it is "so so very pretty." A second newspaper came to the classroom the other day after hearing about the quilting project and the upcoming trip to Philadelphia and wanted to take some pictures for the paper. I am so glad that Emma is looking at the camera and smiling!! What a great picture to add to her baby book!

Jennie is on the right holding Gloria, the inspiration for the Peace Quilt. Millie, the quilter is in the middle helping to hold the quilt. Emma is in the lower left corner!
