How Do You Like Them Apples?

The leaves are changing all around us here in New England - gorgeous reds, oranges, and golds. They are absolutely beautiful. There was a little nip in the air. Finally - it feels like fall around here. Mother Nature had been teasing us with some 75 degree days here and there lately, but I think it is officially fall here in New England. We decided it was time to hit the apple farm for our apples for pie, apple crisp, and applesauce and pick out a few pumpkins as well.

She was so excited to go that I think she would have finally walked out the door without us if we had waited any longer this morning. What a difference it was going picking this year as opposed to last year - her enthusiasm, her interest, her ability. It was a very different experience for all of us. We had a great time and quickly filled our bag of all different sized apples. We then spent some time picking out a few pumpkins to bring home as well.
