One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish

This morning we took Emma out for her first fishing adventure! She was pretty excited about the idea of "going fishing" as she walked around the house this morning with her own little fishing pole and practiced casting and reeling it back in and Bill and I were eager to take her out for her first trip to the pond. So we packed up some fishing equipment, stopped to get some worms, and headed out to the sportsman's club that we are members of.

As soon as we pulled in near the pond, Emma's excitement seemed to disappear and she got a little hesitant about the whole fishing idea. Nonetheless, we got our stuff ready and cast our first line out. Emma was eager to look at the worms, but didn't want to touch them at first, but before we knew it, she was trying to bait her own "hook" and cast her own line. She definitely got into it and the excitement on her face and in her voice when her and Daddy caught their first fish was priceless! She reeled that fish right in and was ready and willing to touch it as soon as I got it off the hook. So much for any hesitation that she had when we started. We had a wonderful time, had the pond to ourselves for the most part, and Emma was awesome! She acted as if she had been fishing for years!
