A New Set of Wheels

After months of searching and debating, we finally bit the bullet and went out and got Emma her first bike/trike. At first we thought we didn't want a trike, but more of a bike, however at the stores, she was having some trouble pedaling and maneuvering on the regular bike. We knew that given time she would get the hang of it, but we really wanted something that she could use now, not something that she was going to have to grow in to. I really wasn't a big fan of the trikes though because all the ones we looked at looked babyish (is that a word) and just too easy for her and I thought she would get bored. Every time we went to TRU or Target we would look at bikes and every time, we would leave the store empty handed. The poor kid just wanted a bike. She was constantly asking for one. So today we were determined to get her one. After much hemming and hawing, we finally left TRU with a classic. A good ol' Radio Flyer Classic Red tricycle. She LOVES it! It is bigger than some of the other trikes we looked at, nice and sturdy, and it has a bell! She needs to work on her steering, but she had a blast taking it for a ride on the drive way.

Very cool ride Emma! We still can't get Quinn to pedal. He just hangs out on his trike while dad pushes it.
