Saturday night, we had some company over that we hadn't seen in a while and Emma loved having some other children in the house to play with. Our friends Dan and Elisabeth (Emma's godparents), Tony and Lisa, and The Goldman clan (Scott, Lindsey, Jack, and Logan) came for a visit and we had a blast. Emma's bossiness came shining through and she spent most of the evening following Jack around and telling him what to do (hold my hand, lay down). At one point in the evening while the guys were out picking up dinner and the ladies were chatting in the living room, I glanced up to see Jack running out of Emma's room, with Emma following right behind. No big deal right? Except that Emma had NO pants on - just her pull-up. Hmmm....isn't she a little too young for that? Doesn't she have to wait until she is at least 5 years old to chase boys without her pants on? When she wasn't driving Jack crazy, she was loving on his baby brother Logan. It was a great evening and I can't wait to see what Em is like when we are around all of her cousins next week!

On Sunday, the weather warmed up a little bit so we headed out to the zoo for the day. It is so much fun going to the zoo with Emma at this age because she narrates the whole time and talks to the animals and asks so many questions. It was windy and there were lots of wet muddy puddles, but we had a good time and Emma was able to add a few more squished pennies to the collection. We got to hear the lion roaring up close and see gorillas right up against the glass in the gorilla house. Emma got especially excited when the baby gorilla began nursing from its mommy. She announced to everyone that he was "eating mommy's boobie!" From the mouths of babes.
