How Does YOUR Garden Grow?

Emma has been talking about planting a garden for weeks now and the Easter Bunny left her some pretty neat gardening gloves in her easter basket last weekend, so yesterday afternoon we spent some time in the dirt digging and planting. We don't have a yard or a decent spot to plant and she wasn't really digging the idea of just using pots, so we found a small patch of dirt near the house where the sun was always shining and let her create her garden over there. Will the flowers actually continue to grow? Who knows, but she had fun planting and that is all that matters. Process is more important than the product or outcome in most cases.

She did finally agree to plant some pansies in a few pots

And while we were dumping some leaves and weeds into the woods in back of the house Emma discovered the remains of what we believe to be a squirrel. She was fascinated by what was left of his skull.
