Prayers, thoughts, crossing fingers or toes - whatever it is do your thing. Our little friend Gabriella over at Gabriella's Heart is in need of some good thoughts and wishes right now. Please please please send them her way.
Just over a year ago, Gabriella received a heart transplant. Everything appeared to be going wonderfully and progressing fantastically for Gabriella and she hit the one year anniversary of her transplant date with no problems. But one week ago, after having some tummy issues, it was discovered through tests that Gabriella has begun to reject her sparkly new heart. The course of treatment they have her on is already showing signs of improved heart function, but treatments need to be continued and she is not out of the woods yet.
We are so incredibly fortunate that although Emma has a congenital heart defect, we have never had the issues, problems, concerns, or medical scares that some of these other heart families go through regularly. I can not even begin to fathom what Gabriella and her family are going through right now.
So friends, do your thing -whatever it is - just get those positive thoughts sent their way. Please.
